BURLINGTON CULTURAL MAPPING

The Celtic Fiddle Orchestra of Southern Ontario is for musicians of all ages who are interested in playing Celtic music (airs; strathspeys; marches; jigs; reels) in a light orchestra format.  We rehearse 2 Sunday afternoons each month from Sept.-June at the Queen Elizabeth Park Cultural & Community Centre, on the border of Oakville and Burlington. Our goal is to create an orchestra with the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, flute.

Our long-term objectives are to develop an orchestra dedicated to the performance of Celtic music; provide persons of all ages with the opportunity to play Celtic music in an orchestral format and enjoy the company and camaraderie of like-minded persons; perform between 2 and 6 concerts per year.
