Our team of instructors are motivated by their love of music and the passion to transfer their knowledge and skills to others so their creativity and talent can shine. Jenny has degrees in Music and Education from Queen’s University and a Masters of Music from the University of Toronto. She has retired from a thirty-one year career as an Arts head, music and drama teacher in Halton. She has conducted many award-winning high school and community groups. She currently plays trumpet in the Oakville Symphony, as well as several community jazz bands. She is a founding member of the Falgarwood Brass Quintet and also enjoys music directing shows in Mississauga, Georgetown and Hamilton. She attended a summer band camp with New Horizons originator Dr. Roy Ernst to learn more about this program and began the New Horizons group in Burlington in 2012. She is very interested in the positive effects that learning and playing music has on the brain as we age. Jenny has really enjoyed working with the interesting and talented adults who have joined the group in the last three years!
