Teresa Seaton Studio
Seaton's uniquely sculptural fine art stained glass is an artistic trademark featuring multi layers of glass panels with spun wire. Her use of a refined colour pallet creates a mood and atmosphere that is distinctive to Seaton, making her one of Canada’s most notable Fine Art Stained Glass Artist.
After a long career in marketing and graphic design, Seaton decided to take a much-needed pause from the stress of working life. During that time, she took a course at Abbey Stained Glass in Burlington that literally “saved her life as only art can.” Paired with her graphic design diploma from Sheridan and a Fine Arts degree from York University, Seaton has embarked on an artistic journey since 2000 creating her own designs in stained glass.
Seaton often incorporates personal beliefs and opinions in the designs of her own works. Feathers for the Fallen and Escarpment Views critically examine how humans are “carelessly living on this earth.”
Her work can be found in the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery in Waterloo. Studio commissions are accepted. Private classes available.
