Arcade Dance Arts
About Us: New and exciting things are happening at 864 Drury Lane in Burlington! Arcade Dance Arts is proud to be moving forward for the forth year in the Burlington community under the direction of Kristen Klopko as a studio dedicated to high quality dance instruction for students of all ages. The studio offers classes in jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, hip hop and acrobatic dance.
Our Mission: At Arcade Dance Arts we respect all students as individuals with different dance interests and various personal goals. Arcade Dance Arts promises to provide a welcoming and artistic environment with a strong sense of community as the framework for a high quality dance education. It is our goal to meet student’s individual needs and assist their social, emotional, physical and creative development through dance. Arcade Dance Arts strives to engage and motivate students and provide them with what they need to have a positive dance studio experience and achieve personal success through dance.
Our Programming: The dance programming at Arcade Dance Arts builds its foundation on the methods and the syllabi of the Performing Arts Educators of Canada (P.A.E.C). Employing certified P.A.E.C instructors ensures the same high standard of dance education is maintained across the board in each class and prepares students for the option to participate in P.A.E.C dance examinations. Instructors at Arcade Dance Arts strive to bring out the best technique, performance and creative expression in each student while instilling confidence, character, creativity, self-discipline and teamwork as a compliment to their technical dance development. Currently we offer P.A.E.C exam opportunities for students in the following disciplines: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Hip Hop/Urban
Performance Opportunities: Dance education may begin in the classroom but extends to performance. At Arcade Dance Arts we believe that performance experience is vital to the growth of each dancer. We aim to provide our students with multiple performance opportunities throughout the year to apply classroom knowledge in a performance setting. We regularly hold a Fall or Winter showcase and June recital. Dancers also have the opportunity to participate in special performances and travelling dance tours (varying from year to year) and dance competitions.
