Central Park
Central Park is a hub of activity near downtown Burlington. You can access the park from Drury Lane, right across from the YMCA or from New Street. Access to the Rotary Centre is on Guelph Line. Central Park is home to numerous community facilities including: Central Library, Drury Lane Theatre, Burlington Lawn Bowling Club, Burlington Seniors’ Centre, Burlington Tennis Club, Music/ Drama Centre, Central Arena and the Rotary Centre.
Other features in the park include the Central Park Labyrinth, community garden, the Rotary Memorial Forest, children’s playgrounds, a rose garden, soccer fields and baseball diamonds. Since 2003, the park has been undergoing improvements in accordance with the Central Park Master Plan, approved by Council in 2001. The improvements include renewal of parking lots, new sidewalks for pedestrian circulation, roadways to improve vehicular access, new planting and much more.
